Health

I occasionally write an article about health that doesn’t fit into the category of mobility and stability or nutrition.  If that happens, you will find it here.

Oestrogen and health – many people have written about the dangers of oestrogen and how it can damage our health and cause cancer and disease.  However, they often don’t quote studies in support of these claims.  I got fed up with that and went and did my own digging and found a bunch of studies that show exactly what is going on

Testosterone and health (part one) – testosterone is key to our health, as I discovered when I went looking for studies that showed what happened when normal people suffered reductions in their testosterone levels.  Sadly, there are plenty of things in our modern world that reduce testosterone.  Find out what they are in this list and see the studies that support the findings

Testosterone and health (part two) – since there are many things in our modern world that can reduce testosterone, I went looking for things that could increase it again.  Here is my list of everything (legal) that I could find that could possibly help, along with the studies for those of you who are less inclined to take things at face value

Magnesium salt baths help recovery – I have read in many reliable places that magnesium salt baths are helpful for recovery after hard training sessions.  Apparently, magnesium is difficult to supplement through the diet but much easier to absorb through the skin
