I am trying to get strong and lean. So my blog will record my diet as far as these goals are being met. I do have one eye on my health, however, and I try to stick to a paleo eating plan most of the time. Here are some of my feature articles on dietary issues:

The Paleo Diet: a response to Leigh Peele – despite what you will read on this site, the paleo diet is not well accepted amongst healthcare and nutrition workers, for various reasons. Leigh Peele summarised those reasons and I responded.
Bad nutritional science: The French Paradox – the French Paradox is the term conventional medicine uses to refer to the fact that French people eat lots of saturated fat and yet don’t get anywhere near as much heart disease as populations that eat less saturated fat. Another way of looking at this problem is that saturated fat doesn’t actually cause heart disease.
Pioneers of metabolic medicine – most people working in medicine and healthcare think of disease as caused primarily by external pathogens, like germs. However, the state of the body is also critical and these researchers and practitioners have done a lot to advance thinking on this issue.
My fat loss diet (take one) and (take two) – in these articles, I discuss attempts I have made to find a fat loss diet that is easy to follow and successful in shedding the pounds.
What works for me when dieting – in this article, I summarise my findings for what works for me in a fat loss diet.
Top 10 fat loss articles – sometimes when dieting you have to think outside the box. This list of great articles about fat loss will give you some inspiration for when everything just stops working.
My muscle gain diet - sometimes, you just need to pack on the pounds. Maybe your deadlift or squat has stalled or maybe nobody can tell you lift weights unless you take your T-shirt off. This is my summary of what works for me.
How I gained 20lbs – and sometimes you need to set a goal. I thought that 20lbs was a good goal and it worked well for me to go from around 75kg (165lbs) to 85kg (185lbs). I picked up a bit of fat on the way but the transformation was the most significant I have ever done.
My paleo weight-gain shake – when you’re gaining pounds and you don’t want to eat poor quality food, you need to turn to shakes. This avocado and coconut shake is the cat’s pyjamas when it comes to adding calories.
Being a raw-egg guinea pig – my girlfriend is a paleo obsessive and a bit odd to boot. In this post, I describe how she started spiking my paleo weight gain shake with raw egg to see what would happen.
Paleo eating (part one), (part two), and (part three) – in this series of posts, I organise my thoughts on paleo eating and suggest a few links for recipes.
Don’t miss these great Paleo Diet links – sometimes, the paleo diet just takes over. Here are some great links for further reading if you get into it.
