I spent the week between Christmas and the New Year in the Lake District (in the UK) and the weather was incredible. After a heavy fall of snow, the skies were clear and the wind was light.

This is a view looking North from Blease Road to the East of Blencathra first thing in the morning.

Looking West from a little further along the road.

Lonscale fell from the East.

And from the North-East.

Looking down towards Derwent water.

Just outside of Hawkshead.

Well, I think that’s probably enough. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.
